ABOUT ME
Hey lovely, I’m Meg – a Cotswold wedding photographer with a passion for capturing the real, unscripted moments that make your day unforgettable. Nestled just outside Cirencester in beautiful Gloucestershire, I’m blessed to call this gorgeous countryside home. I’m a wife, a mum to three sets of padded paws and a real farmgirl at heart. I’m happiest in wellies walking through muddy farm fields, chasing golden sunsets and waving hello to every farm animal we pass (yes, really).
Originally from sunny South Africa, where the sun was shining a little too bright for my liking, I’ve since swapped my flip-flops for wellies and found my happy place in the cool, rolling hills of the Cotswold countryside. Here winter feels just right – crisp air, cosy layers and the perfect excuse to curl up with a good book and a latte in one of the many charming coffee shops that feel more like a warm hug than a caffeine fix. It’s the kind of place where every corner holds a story just waiting to be told.
My journey into photography wasn’t polished or perfectly mapped out – far from it. It began with a simple love for stories and a camera that never really left my hands. I was the girl always snapping away at the everyday – golden sunsets, sleepy dogs, quiet glances. It wasn’t about getting the perfect picture; it was about keeping a feeling forever. Then came lockdown – a strange, still season that gave me space to breathe, to learn and to chase something that had always been quietly calling. I took a photography course with a UK wedding photographer and something clicked – quite literally. From that point on, I was hooked. What started as a hobby rooted in emotion quickly grew into a deep passion and a career I couldn’t imagine living without.
I’ve found my heart – and my craft – nestled in the quiet charm of farm, barn and countryside weddings. It’s in these open fields, under sweeping skies and surrounded by the stillness of nature that I feel most at home. This is where my soul stirs, where my creativity flows freely and where I believe love feels its most grounded – deeply rooted in the simplicity and beauty of the land.
There’s something about the rustle of leaves, the creak of an old barn door, the soft light filtering through tall trees – it sets the stage for honest, heartfelt moments. And that’s exactly what I am here to capture. These are the places where I shine, and because of that, you get the very best of me – fully present, completely inspired and ready to tell your story with all the warmth and wonder it deserves.
Photographs, to me, are tiny time capsules – filled with feeling, soaked in meaning. They’re the way we hold onto the fleeting; the way we remember the way it felt. The quiet in-between moments, the deep belly laughs, the misty-eyed glances – they tell a story words never could. They hold the heartbeat of a day, the emotion behind a touch and love that lingered in a single look. And years from now, when the cake’s been eaten, the dress packed away and memories begin to blur, it’s these images that will bring it all rushing back – like a love letter from the past, waiting to be read again and again. That’s the magic. That’s why I do what I do.
But this isn’t really about me – it’s about you.
Your love story, in whatever season it is in, is what lights me up. Whether it’s the excitement of an engagement, the joy of your wedding day or the quiet beauty of your growing family, I’m here to capture the feeling of it all. The gentle glances, the laughter between the big moments, the way your story unfolds in the simplest gestures – that’s the magic I’m drawn to.
So if you’re planning a countryside wedding in the Cotswolds (or somewhere just as lovely), I’d be honoured to tell your story – the way it deserves to be remembered.
A few fun facts
01.
Jesus first – above all else!
My faith guides everything I do, both in everyday life and work.
02.
I’ve been known to stop traffic … for sheep.
Saw one stuck on its back, pulled over, climbed a fence (may have broken it) and gave it a gentle nudge to freedom.
03.
I’m fancy with my coffee – no instant allowed!
Out? Give me a latte. Home? I’m glued to my Yorkshire tea stash like it’s liquid gold (because it basically is).
04.
I swiped right … and hit the jackpot.
Found my husband on Tinder nearly 8 years ago. Married for 5 and he still hasn’t swiped left! (Although, let’s not give him the chance
).
05.
We took dance lessons for an entire year to nail our first dance.
Then my husband slipped a disc in his back six weeks before the wedding … so no first dance, just lots of laughs and ice packs instead.
